In the meeting this morning, listening to the testimonies that were given here, while the last hymn was sung, I forgot myself. My mind went to the other side, at the time when they hold a big meeting in the city of God around the great white throne, and the redeemed will sing hymns of triumph, victory and praise to God and the Lamb.
At that moment, that thought occurred to me a feeling so solemn and so sweet that touched my heart and I could not help the tears. Oh, how happy we will when we meet next to the throne, clad in white robes of the righteousness of Christ! No more grief or separation, but dwell in peace, happiness and glory for endless ages of eternity.
Which group of people will be happy!
Consider now that we have the same privileges here. When we consider the infinite sacrifice that our Savior did for us to become children of God and members of the royal family, when we think of that excitement, when we meditate on all these privileges will be ours and can be our every day, we can have the privileges they are entitled to the sons and daughters of God, how can anyone complain? How can someone mutter? How can these things be in our hearts? We should be more grateful people on earth.
Our happiness depends on our faith and our trust in God. And, when we think of hope and faith we have, which are projected to the world to come, when we meditate on the fact that endure for endless ages of eternity, I would like to know how we feel about the prayers that were presented tonight. . . I have the impression that the time has come when God will raise up men who undertake this task.
If there is anything I can do for this work, I will. There are many who are willing to give their money, but not to surrender themselves. Why are not more people willing to devote to this work?
